Yesterday, members of the TourEdu group representing all partner institutions met to launch the data collection process for our Work Package 2: “Mapping Job Profiles for Future Professionals”.
Hosted by Ove Oklevik, Grzegorz Kwiatkowski and Christian Dragin-Jensen, the group will conduct a series of in-depth interviews across key segments in the tourism and hospitality sector in Finland, Portugal, Denmark and Norway using visual elicitation methods.
⁉️ The goal? To identify the importance of current competences across digital, green and social domains, as well as future competence requirements and current gaps at an operational, tactical and strategic level. This is so we can create forward-looking job profiles in key segments.
🌍 In a sector which is amplified by a continued demand for excellence, and highly affected by the global polycrisis, higher educational institutions must play their part in adapting rapidly to understand what competences are needed now and in the future.
These interviews are a great place to start.
